Termite overview

Eastern subterranean termites are the most common type of termite in Arkansas. They are insects that feed on cellulose from leaf litter, wood, soil and dung. Termites live underground in colonies that have as many as two million inhabitants. They travel through small mud tubes to avoid exposure to the open air.
