Due to a mild winter and the early onset of the spring season, not only are insects appearing earlier but so is the wildlife in Arkansas. As more and more of the natural world becomes developed, it opens the gates for wildlife such as raccoons, squirrels, and skunks to start scavenging for food in urban areas and unfortunately for homeowners in Conway and Little Rock as well as elsewhere in Arkansas, trash cans, bird feeder and even grills can become likely targets for raccoons and other animals.

For over 30 years now, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) has designated the month of April as National Pest Management Month. During this time, it is appropriate to recognize the efforts of the pest management professionals who keep homes and businesses safe clear of insects, rodents and other pests and also to raise general public awareness of the threats that pests pose to health and property.
