Memorial Day is the official kick off to the warm weather season full of cookouts and other outdoor activities. To make the most of this holiday weekend you want to make sure that if you are hosting a cookout that your home and property are pest proofed. Nothing can ruin a good time like masses of mosquitos or swarming stinging insects. In order to help those in Little Rock, Hot Springs, or surrounding Arkansas communities to have an enjoyable holiday, here are some tips to pest proof your home from the Arkansas pest control pros at McCauley Services.

Inspect the outside of your home for any signs of of stinging insect nests. These could be in trees, bushes, shrubs, or on the exterior of the home.

Remove debris from your yard including sticks, twigs, and other wood sources that could attract carpenter ants or even termites.
